Book Cover Redesign
I redesigned the cover for the book I Capture the Castle which takes place in Suffolk, England in the 1930s. The Narrator, Cassandra, lives in poverty with her family in an old, decaying castle. She “captures” everything around her as she writes in her journal.
My concept is based around the economic hardship faced by the narrator and her family. Like the poverty many faced in the U.S during the 1930s. The poverty is emphasized by the black and white imagery of a crumbling castle.
Animated Trailer
Because the story is a diary, I created an animated trailer where a quote from the story writes on a moving dark, and cloudy background. Once the quote finishes writing, the page turns to the redesigned cover.
